2. Prolonged war

We often hear people ask why the war in Shaam for example is taking so long. They hope and ask for a quick victory, sometimes they even request the West to intervene on their behalf against the regime, and they even become sad if the West doesn't intervene. But if they understood the reality of the conflict and the wisdom behind this war, they would look at it differently inshaAllah. So let us explore this view in this small article. Lets us first begin with an example from recent history. Despite their victory against the Sovjets, if you would ask the average Mujahid veteran or military leader who experienced the Jihaad in Afghanistan against the Sovjets, he will without a doubt say that it would have been of great benefit if the war against the Russians was prolonged even further. The war against the Russians lasted about ten years and martyred more than one million and displaced more than five million Muslims. But this war was nevertheless very beneficial for the Muslim Ummah. Many other fronts were opened through Afghanistan; fronts in Chechnya, Bosnia, Dagestan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc. The Ummah was mobilized, the youth was trained, the spirit of Jihaad was revived, etc. Until this very day we are still benefiting from the Jihaad in Afghanistan on various fronts. The Jihaad in Afghanistan was without a doubt the solid fundament on which the global modern day Jihaad was built. The military knowledge that was spread, the experience, the leaders that were created, the fronts that were opened, etc. Many good came from the Jihaad in Afghanistan, and its impact can still be felt until this very day on various fronts on the world. So imagine what the great impact of the Jihaad in Shaam would be for the future of this Ummah, if this war would prolong and evolve? And Shaam, unlike Afghanistan, is situated in the heart of the Muslim Ummah, right next to Bayt Al-Maqdis. Furthermore, a prolonged war does not give the chance for the enemy to pause and catch his breath; so that he could reengage the fight against you in the near future, like the Russians are doing at this moment in Shaam after their defeat in Afghanistan before. We should not hope for a quick victory which gives us a half-way solution. Moreover, the enemy could be even stronger if he comes back the next time. From this perspective it not wise to hope for a quick victory. As guerilla movements we do not have much to loose, rather prolonged war is in our advantage and in the disadvantage of the superpowers who are fighting us. It is our strong point, and their weak point. There is no benefit for a country with large armies and expensive weapons to prolong any kind of intervention or war. Sun Tzu said: “What is essential in war is victory, not prolonged operations. Where the army is, prices are high; when prices rise the wealth of the people is exhausted. There is no instance of a nation benefiting from prolonged warfare.” So time is on our side. Like Allah said in the Quran:

“Indeed the unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder people from the path of Allah, so they will continue to spend, but in the end they will have only regrets and anguish, then they will be conquered.” (8:36)

Consider this equation; an IED worth less than 100 dollars destroys an armored vehicle worth millions of dollars. A jerrycan with a couple of litters of gas worth a couple of dollars burns down a truck convoy of military supplies worth tens of millions of dollars. Superpowers can be destroyed with such simple guerilla tactics depending on how long the war lasts. If ten years of war against the Sovjets brought Russia to the brink of collapse, and it took them two decades to rebuilt their economy, until they caught their breath and revived the chance to reengage in a military aggression against the Ummah in Shaam. Imagine what the result would have been if the war was prolonged in Afghanistan? Think about it, why did Russia announce its withdrawal from Shaam so quick? Because they understand that they can not prolong the intervention in Shaam, especially considering the minimum progress and advance it gave them against the Mujahideen and the opposition, and the minimum loss it inflicted on the Mujahideen and the opposition. The US likewise understood very well that it could not prolong the war in Afghanistan and Iraq any further, they pushes as much as they could, until the US and the world were overpowered by a financial crisis in 2008, so they had to take the time to rebuilt and take a breath. But look at Afghanistan and Iraq after all these years since the US intervention, did the Jihaad decrease or increase? So what did they achieve, and who really benefited from the war? With the Wisdom of Allah, the passive non-intervention stance, the US took after their new political course in 2009, was of perfect timing. If the US intervened against the regime in the beginning of the uprising in Shaam in 2011 then this would have been in the disadvantage of the Muslims. Look at Shaam at the moment, the spirit of Jihaad is very much alive after being absent for decades. The Ummah is armed and mobilized in a popular Jihaad against the Russian-Safawid-Nusayri-Western backed- alliance. Territories are liberated, the Rule of Allah is implemented, military training bases are built, Islam is being spread, etc. A new free generation is being prepared and trained to confront the future superpowers, like it happened before in the Afghan-Sovjet war. This would all not have been possible if the US intervened against the regime in the beginning of the uprising in Shaam, and it would not have been possible if the war didn't last this long. Allah said:

“Warfare is ordained for you, while it is hated by you. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, while you do not know.” (2:216)

If the US would have intervened, they would have deposed the regime and imposed their political will, and the cycle of subordination would have continued. But Allah prevented this, the US thought that their passive stance would let the uprising get crushed, but they plan and Allah plans, and the plan of the Shaytaan is very weak. Allah promised us in the Quran:

“Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of evil (Taghut). So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the strategy of Satan is always weak.” (4:76)

When the Visigoths took over Spain, Jews constituted a large and very ancient proportion of the population. Many were farmers, but they worked in a wide range of occupations, and were a major component of the urbanized population of the larger towns particularly of eastern Spain. During the period in which the Visigoths adhered to Arianism, the situation of the Jews seems to have remained relatively good. Previous Roman and Byzantine law determined their status, and it already sharply discriminated against them, but royal jurisdiction was in any case quite limited: local lords and populations related to Jews as they saw fit. We read of rabbis being asked by non-Jews to bless their fields, for example.^[47] "Some Jews held ranking posts in the government or the army; others were recruited and organized for garrison service; still others continued to hold senatorial rank."^[48] In general, then, they were well respected and well treated.

However, this changed with the conversion of Reccared I to Catholicism in 589. Catholic conversion across Visigothic society reduced much of the friction between their people and the native Spanish population.^[49] One chief purpose of this conversion was to unify the realm under the Church, and one of the key complaints of the Church had long been that Jews had too much status, prosperity and influence. Local nobles relied on their Jewish and non-Jewish sectors of the population to enhance the local economy and the noble's independent power. Visigothic political structure had traditionally given extensive powers to local nobles (who even elected their kings), so the king was in many ways merely 'the first amongst equals,' and central authority was weak. The status of the Jews therefore impacted both symbolically and politically on local aristocrats. Almost immediately, therefore, King Reccared convened the first Council of Toledo to "regulate" relations between Christians and Jews. The discriminatory laws passed at this Council seem not to have been well nor universally enforced, however, as indicated by several more Councils of Toledo that were held in subsequent years that repeated these laws, and extended their stringency. These entered canon law and became legal precedents in other parts of Europe as well. The culmination of this process occurred under King Sisibut, in 613, with a decree ordering the forced conversion of all Jews in Spain. However, even this apparently achieved only partial success: similar decrees were repeated with increasing irritation and effect by later kings, as central power was consolidated. These laws either decreed the forcible baptism of the Jews or forbade circumcision, Jewish rites and observance of the Sabbath and festivals. Throughout the seventh century, Jews were flogged, executed, had their property confiscated, were subjected to ruinous taxes, forbidden to trade and, at times, dragged to the baptismal font. Many were obliged to accept Christianity but continued privately to observe the Jewish religion and practices.^[50] The decree of 613 set off a century of torment for Spanish Jewry, which was only ended by the Muslim conquest.^[51]

Best Uyghur Nasheeds | Voice of Islam

Uyghur nasheeds (songs without music) published by İslam Awazi  (Voice of Islam), the media arm of the organization ”Turkestan Islamic Party”, an Islamist group fighting in Afghanistan-Pakistan and Syria.

TIP was founded in 1997, and its member fought under the banner of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan against the Northern Alliance and later the US & NATO-Forces. It has also carried many attacks in China, which considers the group as a terrorist organization, as the main goal of the party is to achieve the independence of East Turkestan (Province Xinjiang) from China.

After the outbreak of the Syrian Civil War, the group sent members to fight against the Syrian Regime in the summer of 2014. Today the Islamic Party of Turkestan is more active in its Syrian branch Katibat Turkestan, due to the lack of resources and a safe ground to lead a insurgency in their homeland.

Sharqī Türkistān (East Turkestan) is part of greater Turkestan, meaning ”land of the Turks”. In 1949 China annexed the region and it became the countries new province ”Xinjiang”, meaning ”New Borderland”. Uyghurs suffered much from the communist regimes rule, which tries to eliminate religion from the hearts of the Turkic people and assimilate them culturally, and are still oppressed and restricted. Last year’s Ramadan (2016) the authorities banned civil servants, students and children from fasting.

Many revolt attempts were made hitherto, but all harshly suppressed. Even protests are not tolerated, and may lead to terrible results and massacres, as it was the case in Urumqi 2009.

ABD yönetiminin ülkedeki eroin üretiminden pay aldığı iddiaları dünya kamuoyunda yoğun yer bulmuştu. Taliban yanlısı site ABD askerlerinin haşhaş tarlalarında üreticilerle beraber çekilmiş görüntülerini de yayınladı. Pressmedya.com eroin dosyasını ilginize sunar.

Afganistan'da eroin üretim ve tüketiminin her geçen gün artmakta olduğu bildirildi. ABD eroin üretimini teşvik ediyor. Taliban lideri Molla Ömer yılda 75 miyar dolar kar sağlayan eroin üretiminin ve satışını yasaklamıştı.

Afganistan devlet başkanı Hamid Karza’inin aile bireylerinin ülkedeki eroin ticaretinden ciddi anlamda kar ettiği yönünde ciddi iddialar bulunmaktadır. Hamid karzainin bazı akrabalarının narkotik suçlardan dolayı tutuklandıkları ancak ülkedeki siyasi nüfuzları sayesinde ceza almadan serbest bırakıldıkları kamuoyu tarafından bilinmektedir. Karzai ailesinin eroin ticaretinden kar sağladıklarına dair her ne kadar açık deliller olmasa da bir çok yetkili ve saygın medya kuruluşu özellikle de Hamid Karzai’nin kardeşi Ahmed Veli Karzai’nin eroin kaçakçılığında ciddi rolünün olduğunu dile getirmişlerdir.[1]

Taliban 2000 yılında eroini yasaklamış Molla Muhammed Ömer yayınladığı bir fetvada eroin üretiminin ve ticaretinin İslam’a ve insanlığa karşı bir suç olduğunu ve artık yasak olduğunu belirtmiş, fetvanın yayınlanmasından bir sene sonra eroin üretimi %3’e düşmüştür.

Eroin ticareti Afganistan’ın işgalinden sonra 20 kat arttı.

New York Times gazetesinin ortaya attığı iddialara göre Afganistan’da işgal sonrası eroin trafiğinin ve ticaretinin artışında CIA’in büyük rolü olduğu belirtilmiştir.[2]

CIA’in ülkede lokal bazda etkili olan kişilerle çeşitli alanlarda ortak hareket ettiğine değinilen haberde özellikle Afgan Devlet Başkanı Hamid Karzai’nin kardeşi Ahmed Veli Karzai’nin CIA ile beraber eroin ticareti yaptığı iddialarına yer verilmiştiştir.[3] 

Afganistan’da Taliban sonrası dönemde üretim miktarı büyük oranda artan uyuşturucunun özellikle de Afgan halkına zarar verdiği ülke tarihinde ilk defa bu oranda gencin eroin bağımlısı olduğu dile getirilmektedir.Özellikle de Kabil’de uyuşturucu bağımlısı genç sayısının hızla arttığı çeşitli ulusal ve uluslar arası kuruluşlarca dile getirilmektedir. 2004 yılı tahminlerine göre Afganistan’da uyuşturucu bağımlısı kişi sayısı 500 bindir.[4]

Taliban iktidarının yıkılmasından sonra ülkede ve çevre ülkelerde eroin kullanıcılarının dramatik bir biçimde arttığı gözlemlenmektedir.[5]

Yukarda da görüldüğü gibi Taliban’ın 2001 yılında uyguladığı üretim yasağı neticesinde Eroin üretimi %97 oranında düşmüş bu oran işgal ile birlikte büyük bir artış yakalamıştır.

Taliban’ın “Sivil Ölümleri” ile ilişkilendirilmesi hakkında

19 Nisan 2016 günü Afganistan’ın başkenti Kabul’de İstihbarat Birimine yönelik düzenlenen saldırı ile ilgili birçok haber ajansı haberleri saptırıp, olayı Afgan Hükumetinin lehine çevirme arayışındadırlar. Bu konu ile ilgili olarak bir açıklama yapılması gerekiyordu. Onu da Taliban yaptı. Ve hükumetin haber kaynaklarından alınan bu tarz haberlerin gerçeği yansıtmadığını söyledi. Kaldı ki Afgan hükumet kaynaklarına bağlı medya kuruluşlarının hepsi Amerika tarafından finanse edilir ve yaptıkları yayınlar Amerika’nın gözetimi altındadır. Bölge halkı ve Taliban bunu çok iyi bilirler.

Ancak Taliban’ın üzerindeki medya ambargosu sebebi ile yaptığı açıklamalar gerekli yerlere ulaşamamaktadır. Bunun yerine bizlerin takip ettiği dünya medya organlarında, Taliban’ın zıddına bir algı operasyonu sürekli olarak devam etmektedir. Bu direkt olarak Amerika’nın izlediği “Terörle Mücadele” kampanyası ile ilişkilidir. Bu tarz haber yapan ajanslara diyorum ki; madem ki bu kadar dürüst haberciliğin peşindesiniz, neden Amerika ve NATO’nun Afganistan’ da ki cürümlerini gizliyorsunuz?

Burada asıl belirtmek istediğim konu Taliban’ın Müslüman kanına gösterdiği hürmettir. Bakın bunu gözleri ile görmüş birisi olarak söyleyebilirim ki Taliban’ın Müslüman kanına gösterdiği hürmet, Afgan Hükumetinin gösterdiğinden katbekat fazladır. Burada tabi ki yaşanan çatışmalarda veya bunun gibi patlamalarda sivillerden kimseye bir şey olmuyor demek doğru olmaz. Bu bir savaştır ve savaşlarda insanlar ölür. Tıpkı dünyanın şahit olduğu diğer savaşlar gibi. Savaşlarda sivil ölümlerinin önüne geçilemez fakat azaltmak için tedbirler alınabilir.

Bakın, Taliban’ın bu konuda oluşturulmuş bir komisyonu var. Yapılacak bu gibi operasyonlarda sivillerin en az aktif olduğu saatler seçilir veya hedefe göre bu seçimin yapılmasına özen gösterilir. Hatta yine köylülerin buğday hasat vakitlerinde Afganistan genelinde bu komisyon tarafından operasyonlar yasaklanır. Ki köylü rahat bir şekilde hasadını yapabilsin.

Ayrıca bir Taliban savaşçısının ismi bile bir Müslümanın ölümüne bulaşmış ise, bu komisyon tarafından değerlendirilir gerekli kişilerin ifadeleri alınır ve olay doğrulanır, ve bu Taliban savaşçısının haksız yere birisini öldürdüğü tespit edilirse elindeki silahı alınır ve hakkındaki gerekli ceza uygulanır. Bu konuda Taliban hiçbir yumuşaklık göstermez.

Özetle demek istediğim; Kimsenin bundan kaygısı olmasın ki, Afganistan’da Taliban’dan daha fazla Müslüman kanına önem gösteren ikinci bir yapılanma daha yoktur.

Hem bir araştırılsın bakalım ordusunun büyük bir çoğunluğunu Şia nın teşkil ettiği bir Ehli Sünnet ülkesinde kim daha fazla hürmet gösterebilir Müslüman kanına?
